This client approached us looking for a repair to the existing suspended ceiling within their existing theatre foyer area where partition walls had been removed to create a new layout.  So much of the existing suspended ceiling were damaged and missing, that it was more economic to remove the complete suspended ceiling and install a completely new suspended ceiling system.

We therefore proposed a suspended ceiling solution which would suit our Clients needs and would be compliant in a public space.  We specified a suspended ceiling tile from the Rockfon Range which are manufactured from a soft glass fibre material.  These suspended ceiling tiles have great acoustic and thermal properties.  The Client preferred the tegular edge tile version which lets the tile sit below the gridwork level when fitted.  We also recommended a standard 24mm wide white gridwork, as these grid systems are readily available and easy to maintain.

The new suspended ceilings were fitted in sections at the same heights throughout thus to give maximum head room in the foyer and to allow all the new ceiling services including the wiring and existing ductwork to be hidden and the new LED lighting to be installed.  The new suspended ceilings encompassed the whole foyer area and the new bar area – creating an open plan feel.
